The 4th reference in Syrinx Music’s EP series, RONDADE is YA’s first release. This brand new act associates Youssra Khechai & Aline Gorisse, both composers who graduated from an academic course at the CRR93 conservatory (Paris-area). Trained in instrumental composition and free improvisation, YA’s two members share an interest for mixed music, electroacoustic music & sound research, as well as a common taste for improvisation, which can be heard in their live performances.

In the matter of six tracks, YA’s first EP displays the complexity, but also the cohesiveness of the duo’s compositions: RONDADE makes its experimentations prehensile, as well as to deconstruct its more classic narratives. This new release is, as such, in line with Syrinx Music’s aesthetics, at the crossroads between the club & the lab.

Quatrième référence de la série d’EPs de Syrinx Music, RONDADE est la première sortie de YA. Ce nouveau projet allie les talents de Youssra Khechai et d’Aline Gorisse, toutes deux compositrices titulaires d’un parcours académique au CRR93. Formées en composition instrumentale et en improvisation libre, les pièces des deux autrices s’orientent vers la musique mixte, l’électroacoustique et la recherche sonore, sans perdre de vue un attachement commun à l’improvisation, que l’on retrouve dans les performances live du duo.

En six titres, ce premier EP de YA démontre toute la complexité, mais aussi la cohérence de la musique du duo : RONDADE sait ainsi donner une réelle lisibilité à ses expérimentations, et, à l’inverse, déconstruire ses narrations. Cette nouvelle sortie entre ainsi en résonance avec l’esthétique de Syrinx Music, toujours au croisement entre le laboratoire et le club.
